Financial Aid & Scholarships

SMCHS offers several need-based financial aid opportunites as well as academic and leadership scholarships.

Need-based financial aid at St. Monica Catholic High School is granted solely on the basis of family need and the availability of funds. Typically, forms to request need-based financial aid are available in the finance office in December for the following school year.

Academic scholarships are offered to the top 5 scorers on the entrance exam at SMCHS.  Only those prospective students that test at St. Monica on January 30, 2010 are eligible for this scholarship.

Leadership Scholarships are offered to 5 incoming freshmen and are awarded based on the applicants' leadership in activities, athletics, and/or community service during their elementary school experience.  Applications for thse scholarship are due on February 3, 2010 and are available below.

Need-Based Financial Aid

SMCHS strongly recommends that families begin the financial aid process early. St. Monica Catholic High School uses the Private School Aid Service (PSAS) to evaluate, rank and award applicants according to financial need of the applicants who submit their applications on time.  Once the financial aid funds have been exhausted, no more financial aid is disbursed.

Need-based financial aid awards do not renew automatically each year.  Families receiving financial aid one year must reapply each year in order to be considered for a new financial aid award.

Private School Aid Service (PSAS) Tuition Award Information
